Welcome back to the Awards Radar Podcast. In each episode, Editor Joey Magidson (that’s me!) will be joined by some of the staff of Awards Radar to talk about the latest in film, television, and entertainment in general. The show will obviously have an awards season slant to it, but we won’t forget about other movies and shows, that’s for sure!
For episode 149, I’m joined once again by my co-host Myles Hughes (Steve Prusakowski continues behind the scenes as producer and technical guru). This week, we’re catching up on some of your questions, talking more about the Saw X trailer (which I wrote about here for Sunday Scaries), and doubling back on titles like Talk to Me (reviewed here) and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem (reviewed here). It makes for a nicely varied show, if I do say so myself…
As always my friends and faithful listeners/readers, I do hope you all enjoy the latest episode of the Awards Radar Podcast, our 149th one to date (here’s to many more). Of course, feel free to revisit the previous installments by clicking the Podcast tab (here) on the top of the page. Plus, listen to us on Apple Podcasts (iTunes), Spotify, and other platforms. More to come each and every single week, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you for listening!
Lionsgate showed the trailer of SAW X at Midsummer Scream and the fans went CRAZY! They LOVED seeing Amanda. Can’t wait to watch SAW X in the theaters!!
Fingers crossed it’s as good as hoped for!
An August question completely off topic of anything I’m sure you’re going to be talking about. But since they both have made exactly 9 movies (sort of)….best of 9 old school Eight Men Out era world series baseball…who wins in your opinion as if it were game by game in a best of 9 series.
I like all of these films a lot at some level so I don’t want to seem like I’m down on PTA..but for me it’s Quentin 6-3. On different day 5-4 because I could go Punch Drunk Love over the Kill Bill’s…it’s a coin flip, but such a weird ask to compare the two (sorry). And Bastards vs The Master is a coin flip too…but gut choice I went with Tarantino’s movies on both.
We’ll definitely tackle this one next week!
