New Trailer for ‘Barbie’ Teases the Movie Event of the Year

The newest trailer for Barbie is finally here! Written and directed by Greta Gerwig and co-written by Noah Baumbach, the movie boasts the biggest all-star cast of the year, alongside Christopher Nolan‘s Oppenheimer (which will release in theatres simultaneously as Barbie).

Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling star as Barbie and Ken, with Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae, Hari Nef, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Mackey, Sharon Rooney, Dua Lipa, Nicola Coughlan, Ana Cruz Kayne, and Ritu Arya playing different versions of Barbie. Kingsley Ben-Adir, Simu Liu, Ncuti Gatwa, Scott Evans, and John Cena will also play different character versions on the Ken side.

Michael Cera, Helen Mirren, Will Ferrell, America Ferrara, Emerald Fennell, Jamie Demetriou, Rhea Perlman, and Ariana Greenblatt are also in the movie, making it one of the biggest and most exciting ensembles of the year.

Its plot synopsis reads, “To live in Barbie Land is to be a perfect being in a perfect place. Unless you have a full-on existential crisis. Or you’re a Ken.”

You can check out the full trailer below and see the movie exclusively in theatres on July 21:
