First Clip from Cannes Entry ‘Omen’ by Director Baloji Tshiani

Awards Radar is pleased to share a first clip from Baloji Tshiani’s Omen, premiering at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard section. Omen follows a Congolese expat who returns home to confront a troubled past, where he – and other characters in the film – was accused of being a sorcerer. Check out the clip below for a taste of this striking debut feature and its beguiling exploration of post-colonial Congo.
