While day two of Star Wars Celebration didn’t have as packed of announcements as the first day’s Lucasfilm Studio Showcase panel, there was still a couple of neat stuff announced from Lucasfilm related to Ahsoka and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Here are the biggest highlights of the second day:
Lars Mikkelsen Returns as Grand Admiral Thrawn for ‘Ahsoka’; David Tennant Back as Huyang

The Ahsoka panel revealed who the mysterious actor playing Grand Admiral Thrawn in the trailer is. It shouldn’t have surprised anyone that Lars Mikkelsen arrived on the stage to surprise audiences. Mikkelsen voiced the character in Star Wars Rebels and was heavily rumored to star in the show last year as well until Lucasfilm “debunked” those rumors. It seems that Lucasfilm took a page out of the Andrew Garfield playbook because the rumors are true, and audiences will finally see Thrawn making his live-action debut when Ahsoka releases in August on Disney+. David Tennant will also reprise his role from Star Wars Rebels as Huyang for the series.
Directors Revealed for ‘Ahsoka’; Kevin Kiner to Compose

During the same panel, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni revealed who contributed to the Ahsoka series. Filoni and Peter Ramsey were already previously announced as directing several episodes of the show. Joining them are Steph Green, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Patel, and Rick Famuyiwa. Green and Famuyiwa respectively helmed episodes of The Book of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian. Getzinger is known for having directed episodes of Agent Carter, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Mad Men, and Westworld, while Patel helmed episodes of The Runaways and House of the Dragon. Kevin Kiner, who composed Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, Star Wars: The Bad Batch, and Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi, will compose the score for Ahsoka.
Rebecca Henderson to Play Vernestra Rwoh in ‘The Acolyte’

During the Star Wars: The High Republic panel, it was revealed that Rebecca Henderson would be playing Vernestra Rwoh in The Acolyte. Rwoh is a critical character during the High Republic era and appeared in several books of that time frame. She will now be making her television debut in The Acolyte in 2024.
‘Return of the Jedi’ Will Re-Release in Theatres on April 28

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Return of the Jedi, the movie will be re-released in theatres on April 28. It’s unclear if this will be the original version of the film or one of its “special editions,” though the latter seems more likely. A poster to celebrate the re-release can be seen above.
‘Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi – Season 2’ Is A Go

As one famously said: “A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.” During the 15th anniversary panel for Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Dave Filoni announced that a second season for Star Wars: Tales of the Jedis is underway. No further details on the season have been announced, except Filoni stating, “Tales of the Jedi was so fun the first time, I decided to do some more.”
Stay tuned for more announcements as Star Wars Celebration continues until Monday!

I so want to see in Star Wars Tales of the Jedi Season 2 what Ahsoka Tano and Rex did after the funerals of Padmé Amidala :
-how Gregor and Wolffe got their inhibitor chips removed, and how they ended up with Rex on Seelos in edges of an AT-TE; when and how Ahsoka met Hera Syndulla; what Barriss Offee has become : whether she saw Ahsoka again and reconciled with her; Maul battling Darth Vader; how Maul got his new lightsaber; if Ahsoka has seen her mother or other family member again, as well as Riyo Chuchi, Lux Bonteri, Trace and Rafa Martez, Saw Gerrera, Korkie Kryze, the Lurmen on the planet Maridun including Wag Too and Tub, Rotta the Hutt, Kit Fisto, Shaak Ti, Mace Windu, and Plo Koon if they survived, and also encounter Qui-Gon Jinn’s Force ghost; why Yoda didn’t reveal what he learned about Korriban (for fear it’ll get worse if he reveals the truth?).
-what Ahsoka Tano did and became from the moment she left the Jedi Order until the events of The Clone Wars Gone With A Trace : if after leaving the Jedi Order, she meet Asajj Ventress again where latter comforts her and teams up with her for a mission; but also Barriss Offee (perhaps having made her escape) and speaking with her after her betrayal in order to reason with her and eventually reconcile. And if occasionally Kit Fisto, Shaak Ti, Padmé Amidala, and Plo Koon met Ahsoka again and talked to her trying to comfort her even though she still refuses to return to the Jedi Order, and even help her.
-what Ahsoka did after being saved by Ezra Brider in Star Wars Rebels “A World Between Worlds” until she found Sabine Wren to go in search of Ezra Bridger in “Family Reunion and Farewell Part II”: if she could meet Yoda again on Dagobah, as well as Obi-Wan Kenobi on Tatooine.
-Ahsoka meeting Luke Skywalker for the first time, as well as Leia Organa where she could also partly give the latter Jedi training and have a conversation about Padme Amidala, Han Solo where they will have a conversation about their first encounter with Chewbacca, Anakin Skywalker’s Force ghost and give him a hug of reunion and where she cries with emotion, Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Force ghost, Yoda’s Force ghost, and maybe too Plo Koon’s Force ghost.
-Mace Windu back after his fell in Star Wars III Revenge of the Sith and to show how the Jedi Master survived being thrown out the window by Darth Sidious, like Luke Skywalker, after Darth Vader cut off his right hand in Star Wars V The Empire Strikes Back; and especially that Mace Windu meet Ahsoka Tano again after Order 66.
-Although we hear the voice of Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker, it does not necessarily mean that she is dead, even if the majority of the jedi we hear are. But if she really died in Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker it was after her quest with Sabine to find Ezra Bridger, but also that it wasn’t by being killed by an enemy, but something similar to the deaths of Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa and Ben Solo.
-Ahsoka Tano would finally agree to become a Jedi again after the founding of the New Jedi Order by Luke Skywalker, because it would mean that she finally recovered from her pain when she left the Jedi Order during the clone wars. Following a vision in the Force which reveals to her that if she had not left the Jedi Order before Order 66, she would have been killed inevitably, and therefore that she accepts what happened to her so that she has left the Jedi Order because it was the will of the Force. Or that it be revealed that the false accusations were the result of a plot by Palpatine with Tarkin to keep Ahsoka away from Anakin.
-Ahsoka Tano meeting Boba Fett again during and after the events of “The Book of Boba Fett” and “The Mandalorian” season 2 and teaming up with him, as well as with Fennec Shand and maybe Luke Skywalker as well.
-Ahsoka and Rex return to the moon at the Clone Trooper Graves, seen in The Clone Wars Victory and Death, along with other characters including Luke, Leia, Han, and Chewie.
-Ahsoka Tano meeting Obi-Wan Kenobi again on Tatooine or elsewhere after Order 66, after her fight against Vader on Malachor; and also that she meets Reva Sevander becoming friends and the Force ghost of Qui-Gon Jinn where they have a conversation about the Jedi Council and Anakin.
-The Clone Force 99 of The Bad Batch especially Omega and Echo, meeting Ahsoka Tano after Order 66.
-Ahsoka Tano having an affair with Lux Bonteri or otherwise someone else, and having a daughter.
