A well-done action movie is just so satisfying. This weekend, a high quality one is hitting theaters in John Wick: Chapter 4. The success of this film further establishes Keanu Reeves as a master of the genre, alongside someone like Tom Cruise. Along those lines, I got to thinking about action franchises. There’s an endless supply of them, but how many are truly great. So, a new Awards Radar Community Question was born. It’s a simple one, too. What’s your favorite series of action flicks?
For many modern action lovers, the John Wick franchise stands alongside the Mission: Impossible movies as the epitome of the genre. With the aforementioned John Wick: Chapter 4 now in theaters, as well as Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One coming later on this year, they’re truly facing off in 2023. Either represents strong options, as well as the Marvel Cinematic Universe, for that matter.
