Quentin Tarantino Announces His Last Film As ‘The Movie Critic’

The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Quentin Tarantino is currently preparing his last movie. The director has said for numerous years that his tenth film would be his last. After the considerable success of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, one would’ve wondered if he changed his mind, but THR has confirmed that, for now, this would be his final film.

Titled The Movie Critic, the film will be set in the 1970s and focus on a female character. No other details are currently known, but it could be possible that the film would be about Pauline Kael, who was one of the most influential film critics of the 1970s and worked as a Paramount consultant during that time. However, it is not clear if that will be the story, but it could be a possibility.

The film does not also have a studio. It is possible that it will ultimately end up at Sony Pictures, who previously collaborated with him for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The movie was a major awards contender and was nominated for ten Oscars at the 92nd Academy Awards. If The Movie Critic will be as good as Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, then Sony would very much want to collaborate with Tarantino for one last hurrah.
