New Terrors Unleashed in Official ‘Scream VI’ Trailer

On Thursday, Paramount released the official trailer for their sixth installment in the beloved Scream franchise, Scream VI. The film is set for theatrical release on March 10.

Fresh off of the success of the fifth installment, which came out only last year, this new installment follows our new heroes, and our old ones, as they try to take down a new Ghostface killer, this one following our leads out of Woodboro to New York.

The cast includes Jenn Ortega, Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Hayden Panettiere, Josh Segarra, Tony Revolori, Devyn Mekoda, and Courteney Cox returning again in her iconic role.

Scream VI will definitely serve as a fresh new installment in the now 25+ year old slasher franchise. In changing the location to New York, this film allows for new opportunities for horror unseen in its predecessors. Seeing as the Scream franchise is showing no signs of slowing down, and for good reason, there is no denying that this new slasher installment has all the elements it needs to carry the franchise forward.
