Capping off another huge day of precursors, we have the Directors Guild of America nominations to share. The DGA five often can correlate heavily with the Oscar lineup for Best Director, so study this one heavily, like with any guild!

I haven’t seen all of the Debut Feature Film Director nominees so I can’t make the same blanket declaration I did last year, but I will say that I adamantly believe Audrey Diwan and especially Charlotte Wells, at least, could stand toe-to-toe with all five of the Main Feature Film Director nominees.
