Adam Sandler Has Discussed a Project With ‘TÁR’ Filmmaker Todd Field

Adam Sandler has given his career a breath of fresh air over the last couple of years, after starring in drama films which are very different from the family comedies he is mostly known for. Since the actor has diversified his portfolio, fans are interested in knowing what might be next for him and, fortunately, the first hint of what that project might be has been revealed.

During an episode of Variety’s Awards Circuit Podcast, Sandler revealed he has discussed developing a project with TÁR director Todd Field. “We just talked the other day about something. He’s a great guy, I’ve known him for many years. We’ll see.” The actor mentioned regarding his recent conversations with the Little Children helmer.

Details were not shared about what the project might be or who else might be involved. After all, the actor also mentioned that he “doesn’t think much” about what project he might take on next. He is more excited about meeting people he admires than about pitching them new projects.

Sandler’s latest films have been Hubie Halloween, Home Team, and Hustle, while TÁR (reviewed by Joey out of Telluride here) was Field’s first film since the aforementioned 2006’s Little Children. While a new project bringing these two filmmakers together hasn’t been officially announced, Sandler’s statements about the possibility of it happening will sure generate interest from his fans.
