‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ Taps Michael Waldron to Pen the Epic Marvel Showdown

The next two Avengers films are beginning to staff up. We already know that Jeff Loveness will write Avengers; The Kang Dynasty, with Destin Daniel Cretton on hand to direct. Following that movie, the next big event will conclude with the sure to be epic Avengers: Secret Wars. Yesterday, word came out about who will be penning the screenplay to that Marvel juggernaut.

According to Deadline, Michael Waldron is Marvel’s pick for the Avengers: Secret Wars writing gig. No word yet on a director, but it’s apparently not going to be Cretton. He and Loveless will have their full focus on Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Stay tuned for more there, but Waldron is an interesting pick. Take a look at Joey’s interview with him here from back around Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness times and once we have more on the film, you can be sure we’ll bring it to you! Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled to be released on November 7, 2025.
