First Teaser for Florian Zeller’s ‘The Son’ Released

The first trailer for Florian Zeller‘s The Son has been released. Starring Hugh Jackman, Laura Dern and Vanessa Kirby, the film follows a family that struggles to reunite after falling apart. Jackman’s character, Peter, finds it difficult to connect with his teenage son after not seeing him since he was a child. Despite his best efforts, the relationship begins to take a toll on him.

The movie will be released in New York and Los Angeles on November 11th, after premiering next month at the 79th Venice International Film Festival. The screenplay was written by Christopher Hampton and Zeller himself, while Hans Zimmer will take care of the original score.
