Writer/director Mattson Tomlin will be co-writing the screenplay of Matt Reeves‘ upcoming The Batman sequel alongside Reeves himself. Tomlin previously worked on the first film with Reeves when third-act issues came about but did not receive a final credit for his work on the movie. However, Tomlin will be an integral part of the scriptwriting process this time around, and he will likely get a credit when the movie releases in theatres.
Robert Pattinson is also officially back as The Caped Crusader in his yet-to-be-titled sequel. Plot details are currently being kept under wraps, and the scriptwriting process has not officially begun but will be in the coming weeks.
Additionally, Reeves is also currently working on The Penguin, with Colin Farrell to return as Oswald Cobblepot, which has been given the seal of approval by Warner Bros. Discovery after many cancelations left Hollywood shaken. Reeves has recently signed a first-look deal with the company, to develop films for the studio and television projects for Warner Bros. Television. He is also currently developing an Arkham Asylum-driven spinoff series.
