On Tuesday morning, the nominations for the 74th Emmy Awards were revealed. You can see who and what scored here, but the nominees are just one part of the story. Who did get nominated, as well as who did not, they’re essential to the tale. We’ve discussed some of that already, with more planned in the near future, but that’s not what we’re thinking about today. We’re actually thinking about how they worked or did not work for you. So, this week’s Awards Radar Community Question is a pretty obvious one. If you’ve got a reaction to the Emmy nominations, we’re looking for you to share them with us today.
Awards Radar already has reacted to the nominations (here, as well as collected nominee reactions here), but it’s not just us that matters. Sure, the ARTV team is essential here, but you the reader matter just as much. So, if you’re among the folks who were thrilled with the nominees, do tell. At the same time, if there are things that have bugged you about the Emmys, it’s just as essential that you let us know here today. Either way, it’s time to tell us…
Now, we want to know how you feel about the Emmy nominations. Yes, it’s your time to shine! Were you pleased with the nominees? Did the snubs bug you? Whatever your thoughts are on the matter, we’re keen to find out. So, chime in now and let us know!

What are your thoughts on the Emmy nominations? Let us know in the comments!
For me, the prevailing emotion is excitement that the Severance finale received nominations for both its Directing and Writing. One of the best episodes of television I’ve ever seen, and I didn’t think this was going to happen at all. The surprise double nomination in Supporting Actor was thrilling, too.
The Succession over-performance would be annoying if I didn’t love it so much, and Natasha Rothwell’s nomination for The White Lotus is so awesome. Very pleased with the expected success for Barry, Squid Game, Hacks, and Abbott Elementary (I didn’t think Tyler James Williams was gonna make it. But he did!) And of course Nicholas Hoult and Elle Fanning making it was super refreshing.
I was disappointed that Pachinko couldn’t sneak in a nod outside of Title Design, but that was sort of predictable. Also predictable was Insecure not receiving a televised nomination outside of Issa Rae, but this was way more of a bummer since this was it’s last season. And how on earth did Sarah Goldberg and Zazie Beetz miss in Supporting Actress? Oh, right, it’s because we’re still pretending that Hannah Einbinder is supporting.
That the Ozark season finale is the one to get Writing/Directing nominations doesn’t sit well with me, it really should’ve been the mid-season finale. I’m glad the Barry finale got a writing nomination, but considering that episode has some of the best directing I’ve ever seen, I’m reeeeeaaallllyyy annoyed that Only Murders showed up twice here. Finally, The White Lotus getting 8 nominations in Supporting is so stupid. If they were all Lead like they should be, this would never have happened.
Duly noted!
I was beyond thrilled for Abbott Elementary! I need to catch up with so much that’s been regular viewing for me.
Nice!
