Interview: Alfonso Herrera on Playing Javi Elizonndro and Entering the World of ‘Ozark’

Netflix’s dark crime drama Ozark signed off last month after four seasons following the Byrde family and their dealings with cartels and local elements. Among the most intense additions in season four was Javi Elizonndro (Alfonso Herrera), the nephew of the already intimidating Omar Navarro (Felix Solis), who was adamant about making his presence known and showing how he didn’t like the way things were being done.

Awards Radar had the chance to speak with the perfectly charming and polite Herrera about channeling this villainous character, working with the cast, and memories of his time on a very different Netflix series, Sense8.

All four seasons of Ozark are streaming on Netflix.
