Remember the misguided Oscar decision to have two “fan favorite” votes during the ceremony? If you recall, the Oscar Fan Favorite and the Cheer Moment were voted on by the fans, with Army of the Dead and Zack Snyder’s Justice League being what walked away with this “prizes” in the end. Well, if rumors and reporting is to be believed, not everything was on the up and up and Zack Snyder‘s fandom may have actually rigged the vote.
According to The Wrap, automated bot accounts were apparently utilized to rig the votes and make sure that Snyder’s works emerged victorious. While no one has officially commented from ABC or the Academy, it always felt like this was going to be the end result. Whether it was overzealous fans on Twitter or actively utilizing bots, a lazy attempt to cite Spider-Man: No Way Home at the Oscar telecast was hijacked by Snyder and his fans. Oh well.

I sure hope I find out the names of these surreptitious trolling hackers who violated the integrity of those polls so I can walk right up to them and personally shake their hands.
