Blake Lively to Direct ‘Seconds’ For Searchlight Pictures

The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Blake Lively will be making her feature directorial debut with the film Seconds, which will be distributed by Searchlight Pictures, based on the graphic novel of the same name written by Bryan Lee O’Malley, who also wrote Scott Pilgrim.

According to THR, Seconds tells the story of “Katie Clay, who receives the power to fix her past mistakes via writing them down in a notebook, eating a mushroom and falling asleep. Clay becomes too eager to fix every little aspect of her life and before long, her newfound ability begins to create new problems that threaten not only to take her further and further from the life she initially had but the very fabric of time and space itself.”

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World‘s director Edgar Wright will be writing the script and co-producing it alongside Marc Platt. No details on any and crew or production start have been given, but this will mark the second title Lively will be directing, and her first feature film, after helming the music video for Taylor Swift‘s “I Bet You Think About Me” in anticipation for her album, Red (Taylor’s Version).
