Today is the last day of April, which is crazy to think about, for plenty of reasons. Obviously, that means tomorrow brings May to us all, with blockbuster season inching ever close, but before we look ahead to what films are to come, let us look back on what we’ve seen. After all, April has provided audiences with several very pleasing options, to say the least. In fact, an argument can be made that the last 30 days or so had some of the best flicks that we’ll see this year. So, with that said, this weekend’s Awards Radar Community Question concerns the movies of the month. Namely…what was your favorite April 2022 release?
April seemed to have something for everyone. Just a cursory look at the major releases includes the likes of Ambulance, Dual, Everything Everywhere All At Once, The Northman, Petite Maman, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, We’re All Going to the World’s Fair, and more. Those are some top notch options, even considering how many notable films have already hit this year. In fact, look for an article from Myles on just that very soon, paying tribute to these movies. Today, however, it’s about you all. If any of these struck you as particularly brilliant, we’re keen to find out.

For me, it’s easily Petite Maman. What a premise and what a marvelous unraveling of such a premise.
