On Wednesday, June 8th, Netflix’s documentary film HALFTIME will kick off the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival. The film will explore global superstar Jennifer Lopez‘s Latina culture and heritage as she reflects on her legendary music, film, and television career. Jenny will be returning to her block with the film premiering at United Palace in Washington Heights, next to the Bronx, which she calls home.
Tribeca Festival Co-Founder Robert De Niro is thrilled to kick off the festival J-Lo doc, saying: “Powerful storytelling – whether in music, film, or games – encourages us to fight for universal values that bind humanity together.” Adding, “HALFTIME, featuring Jennifer Lopez, reminds us of that.” The film’s title comes from Lopez’s iconic 2020 Super Bowl halftime show that will feature heavily in the documentary.
For those unfortunately unable to attend Tribeca this year, HALFTIME will make its public debut on Netflix on June 14th.
