Awards Radar Community: What Are Your Thoughts on the Oscars?

All week, I’ve been sharing thoughts about the Oscars. Well, technically, that’s what this entire site is for. But, with the Academy Awards ceremony in the books for another year, tis the season. In the weeks leading up to the show, I bemoaned the state of things (here), with many of my Oscar-related fears proving to be valid. Today, we know that CODA is our latest Best Picture winner, but where do we stand with the Oscars in general? Well, that’s up to you, as our Awards Radar Community Question is on just that. Whatever your take may be, and I have an educated guess about which way you all are leaning, we’re all ears!

As a final reminder, you can see my take on the telecast itself (here), as well as our immediate podcast (here) on the show, the full Awards Radar Podcast episode on the same (here), a highlights/lowlights article (here), and yesterday’s snubs/surprises piece (here). It’s not about me, though. This is about you all today, so let us focus our attention there.

Now, it’s your turn. Did you find anything to like about the Academy Awards this year? Are you usually an Academy Award defender? If so, has this year changed that. There are no wrong answers. We’re just looking for your take on the state of Oscar. Whatever you have to say, we want to hear it. So, let looks with your take on the Oscars…

What are your thoughts about the Oscars, specifically or in general? Let us know!

Worst Oscar ever ?! Could be .. no surprises .. most winners are not deserving the win just to fulfill the notion .. he’s due .. her time has come .. this actor we haven’t seen much from him .. this is going to be the first to win .. what’s that ?! Where is the love for real cinema
