Quentin Tarantino In Talks to Direct Episodes of ‘Justified: City Primeval”

Deadline has learned that Quentin Tarantino will be venturing into the world of television for his next project. He will be directing either one or two episodes of the FX limited series Justified: City Primeval. This will be a follow-up series to FX’s Justified after the series ended in 2015.

The series will star Timothy Olyphant, reprising his role as U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens, and will reunite Tarantino and Olyphant for the second time after The Mandalorian actor played James Stacy in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Neither Tarantino, FX, or Olyphant commented on the news, but this is certainly exciting news for Tarantino fans, who has been teasing multiple projects after doing Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The last television episode he directed was in 2005, for CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, titled “Grave Danger.”

Tarantino seems more interested in doing other projects, than his supposedly “last” feature film before his retirement, which would be his tenth movie. It’s worth noting that Tarantino is in talks to direct episodes, but the deal has not been set in stone, and, knowing Tarantino, he can usually announce something and never talk about it again. We’ll see what happens next.
