As if the return of Hayden Christensen in Kenobi wasn’t enough, Anakin Skywalker will be making his live-action debut with Rosario Dawson‘s Ahsoka Tano in Disney+’s limited series centering around Ahsoka.
This is great news for fans of The Clone Wars who were longing for a live-action representation of Ahsoka and Anakin’s partnership throughout the years, though it is unclear whether or not the series will be representing Ahsoka post-Clone Wars/The Mandalorian Season 2 or if Christiensen will be exclusively starring in flashbacks and/or as a force-ghost.
It also looks as though it was supposed to be a Disney+ Day exclusive announcement, but The Hollywood Reporter was able to break the news before it happened since Rosario Dawson shared her excitement on Instagram only for the post to be deleted mere minutes later.
But it certainly adds to lots of hype as Ahsoka is gearing up for an early 2022 production start, with Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau actively developing the series. Details on the plot, other casting announcements are still under wraps, but more could be revealed very, very soon…definitely keep an eye out for Disney+ Day on November 12th!
