Awards Favorite ‘Spencer’ Drops Official Trailer

Following the film’s excellent reception out of the Venice International Film Festival and TIFF, Spencer has become a must watch in awards circles. Today, Neon released the first official trailer for the film.

Starring Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana, the story follows her difficulties with the royal family. Based on the trailer it also seems to contain the pressure she faces while in the public eye. Directed by Jackie helmer Pablo Larrain and written by Locke screenwriter, Steven Knight, the film has the pedigree of an intimate character study.

In what our own Joey Magidson described as “an hypnotically immersive experience” in his review, the film could be this years awards darling.

The film is to be released in theaters on November 5th. The trailer is below:
