Clint Bentley’s ‘Jockey’ Gets Release Date

Clint Bentley‘s new film Jockey premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 31, 2021, to great critic reviews (including one from our own Joey Magidson), with many praising the writing, directing, and acting present in the film.

The film stars Clifton Collins Jr., Molly Parker, Moises Arias, and Logan Cormier and follows an experienced rider named Jackson who has endured decades of racing on the equestrian circuit who now finds himself facing what could be his last season due to rapidly deteriorating health.

With the help of Ruth and a promising new horse, Jackson begins to prepare for the upcoming championship, reflecting on his legacy.

Those attending the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival and the Hamptons International Film Festival will be able to watch the new film, but if you can’t make it to either – don’t worry. Today, it was confirmed by Variety that Jockey will release in movie theatres in New York and Los Angeles on December 29, before opening wide a few weeks afterward.
