In 2014, Jonathan Liebesman and Paramount Pictures brought us a live-action adaptation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which proved to be quite the divisive film. It seemed as if some people genuinely enjoyed seeing their favorite crime fighting turtles on the big screen in live-action format, whereas others found the story to be boring, and complained about the weird CGI look of the titular characters.
A sequel, Out of the Shadows, followed suit two years later, but also proved to be divisive. Now, however, Seth Rogen has shared an interesting image on his social media profiles which provides us with brand new details regarding an upcoming animated TMNT film he will produce.
As of right now, details are scarce but what we do know is that the upcoming film will be directed by Jeff Rowe, hot off the success of his latest animated feature The Mitchells vs. The Machines, and that it will be released in theaters on August 11, 2023. While the two year wait may be daunting, the image provided by Rogen online is full of cool little easter eggs and fun jokes sure to keep TMNT fans salivating for more.
