‘F9’ Zooms By with a New Trailer

It seems the long wait is finally over (almost). Having its release date pushed back an entire year due to COVID, it looks as though audiences will soon be able to feast their eyes on the glory of F9, and Universal is setting that promise in further motion by releasing a new trailer to get everyone excited again.

Justin Lin is returning to direct the franchise after sitting out the last two, which means that we’re back in the trusted hands of the director of Fast Five, almost unanimously considered the best film in the series. Lin also wrote F9 with Daniel Casey

Also back? Almost everyone you love from this massive ensemble cast. Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Helen Mirren, and Charlize Theron are all back in action. They’ve even got Tokyo Drift lead Lucas Black in the mix! Perhaps more exciting than that is the long-demanded return of Sung Kang, whose death as Han ignited a movement to give the character justice.

Jumping into the franchise for the first time are Anna Sawai, Michael Rooker, Cardi B in a cameo, and the new big bad villain – John Cena

Cena’s character is the brother of Diesel’s Dom, which means that this film is going to push the franchise’s trademark theme of family to the limit, as it will everything else.

Check out the new trailer below, and get ready for F9 to hit theaters on June 25th
