Court Is Now In Session: The First Reactions to ‘The Trial of the Chicago 7’ Have Arrived

Aaron Sorkin is back, and seems to be better than ever! Most reactions have been positive, as you can see from our own Joey Magidson…

He continued by saying, “The cast of #TheTrialoftheChicago7 is uniformly excellent, though everyone will have a different favorite. It’s Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Mark Rylance for me, though Michael Keaton has the best moment. An awards player, up and down the line.“

Things seemed to trend that way. Almost everywhere you look, the reviews look good.

It’s an interesting season for festivals, because Netflix decided to not submit any of their films in a single festival. So their buzzy films like, The Trial of the Chicago 7, Mank, Hillbilly Elegy, and a handful of others won’t be seen like they normally are. Will it hurt them? We’ll find out soon enough!
