Happy Sixth Birthday to Awards Radar!

Can you believe we’re officially six years old? Full disclosure, I’m just getting back from the Toronto International Film Festival and in many years completely forget about this anniversary (credit to Steve for remembering that first year, actually). TIFF aside, it’s very surreal to see how quickly time has passed. Six years ago, we launched Awards Radar in the midst of lockdown and the pandemic, taking a legitimate risk. Would anyone care? Was I cut out to run a site? Well, thanks to all of you, it has been a resounding yes, at least to the first question (and in regards to the second one…I’m getting better). My heart is so full today, as it is around now each year, regardless of whether you read the site every day or just have come across it once. It truly means the world to me. Even when I don’t post about it, around the 14th/15th of September, I smile.

From the bottom of my heart, I can’t express how much I appreciate everyone who has helped make Awards Radar a success. My team members, the readers, the publicists who never doubted its potential, and the talent who took time to talk to us, it has been a hell of a run. Thank you again and here’s to many more! That first year could have been a disaster. Instead, it has been the start of something special…

We’ve reached another milestone for the site, as AR has now been around for six years!
