Awards Radar Podcast #298: Joey and Myles Go Over Their July 4th Holiday Movie Viewings

Welcome back to the Awards Radar Podcast. In each episode, Editor Joey Magidson (that’s me!) will be joined by some of the staff of Awards Radar to talk about the latest in film, television, and entertainment in general. The show will obviously have an awards season slant to it, but we won’t forget about other movies and shows, that’s for sure!

For episode 298, I’m joined once again by my co-host Myles Hughes, with producer Steve Prusakowski working behind the scenes on Emmy season content and, of course, TV Topics. This time around, we’re hanging out and discussing what we watched over the July 4th holiday weekend. Now, some people go patriotic on the Fourth of July, while others head to the movies. Not us. I watched an eclectic mix of films that included My Blue Heaven, National Lampoon’s Vacation, Rocky IV, and Streets of Fire, all of which are discussed within the episode. Myles, on the other hand, caught up on A Few Good Men, at last, but also subjected himself to The Flash. As for new releases, I’ve seen and reviewed (here) Evil Dead Burn, so we get into that as well. Throw in a few questions and some game chatter, and what we have is a nice mix of topics, as we close in on the big 300th episode…

As always my friends and faithful listeners/readers, I do hope you all enjoy the latest episode of the Awards Radar Podcast, our 298th one to date (here’s to many more). Of course, feel free to revisit the previous installments by clicking the Podcast tab (here) on the top of the page. Plus, listen to us on Apple Podcasts (iTunes), Spotify, and other platforms. More to come each and every single week, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you for listening!
