Dylan O’Brien to Lead Hulu Comedy Pilot ‘Lex’

Though he debuted on television with Teen Wolf, Dylan O’Brien has largely been making his bones on the big screen since then. It’s worked out well for him, too, as he’s developed into an exciting actor who can cross over to various genres and film types. Well, he’s apparently heading back to TV, as he’s been tapped to star in a promising comedy pilot. More below.

According to Variety, O’Brien has been cast as the lead in the Hulu comedy pilot Lex. Sean Clements is the writer on the show, with O’Brien among the executive producers. This is the official logline for the show, which has O’Brien playing the title character of Lex: “a disgraced former reality star who accidentally films a murder in the background of a $20 Cameo video, and finds himself at the center of a global conspiracy — and on the run from powerful forces who want him dead. Using the skills he acquired navigating reality TV’s toxic social dynamics, Lex must fight to not get killed, to expose the truth, and most importantly… to get back on TV.”
