Chase Infiniti wasn’t on my radar in mid-2025. Now, just a year later, she’s everywhere. If you are wondering why, her work more than speaks for itself.
It began with One Battle After Another, a performance that made me sit up and take notice, immediately searing her name onto my list of actors to watch. Then came The Testaments, which didn’t just reinforce that initial impression, it cemented it. Now, after watching the series, I can firmly say that if Chase Infiniti is on the short list of actors, that if she is on board, I’m watching.
The actress’s transformation as Agnes in The Testaments is both physical and emotional, a slow burn that starts on the inside and grows outward, resulting in one of the most riveting and heartbreaking performances of the year.
I’d usually be content to let the work speak for itself, and that remains very true here, but after speaking with Chase as my guest on TV Topics, I found that her words add genuine depth, heart and insight – in other words, she speaks for herself.
During our conversation, I laughed several times but was also moved by the thought she brings to her characters. This was particularly true as she reflected on the world of Gilead and what it demands of the young women raised within it, but also how that is mirrored in real life in a hauntingly increasing way.
The heart and thought Infiniti pours into building her roles grows into something far greater when expressed through her remarkable ability to capture the soul of her characters. Sometimes, without a word spoken, she conveys an innocent fear as well as pain that transcends the screen and feels like a dagger to the heart.

The actress brings nuance, vulnerability, and resolve to the role, transforming what could have been a familiar dystopian archetype into an authentic, layered, deeply human young woman whose struggles feel unsettlingly relevant in today’s world.
Chase described Agnes as “kind of like the princess of Gilead,” noting how that shaped her physicality. “She carries herself in a way that I would imagine somebody of royalty would carry themselves in Gilead,” Infiniti explained. “She would hold herself to that standard and she would have been forcibly held to that standard by her mom and by the people around her and also by her upbringing in her school.”
One of the biggest moments for Agnes early in the series, is her stepping into womanhood in such a brutal world. “Even though she is stepping into this new role as a woman, immediately she’s met with the harsh realities of being a woman in Gilead,” clarified Infiniti. “From the jump she starts to be paraded around like she is being auctioned off or she is a fresh piece of meat in Gilead… that first interaction with womanhood or being an adult is so jarring.”
The parallels between today’s world and the fictional world of Gilead were not lost on Infiniti. “The scariest thing is the fact that we were shooting this show and you would turn on the news and it didn’t seem like there were so many things that were different from each other,” she shared. “We haven’t learned from history in the way that we think we have.”

Playing a character like Agnes brought the actress to her own understanding, as she reflected, “You see her stand up and you see her use her voice in ways that society tells her she shouldn’t. I think that that’s something that out of everything that really stuck with me. That strength and that confidence that she has is something that really she taught me to not lose that in my own voice.”
Even amongst all the grim, upsetting aspects of Gilead, all is not lost as hope shines through the darkness. Chase emphasized, “Hope does exist. You see it in the girls and you see it in the way that they love and support each other and you see it in the sense of community that they have… those are the moments of hope… a bunch of little small moments that lead to the satisfying ending.”

While our conversation did get heavy, and rightfully so, it also had plenty of levity, especially as we discussed television. These bursts of charm perfectly captured her enthusiasm throughout the talk – Chase lit up talking television. She’s selective but rewatches favorites like Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. She grew up on CW shows and had major phases with Supernatural, The Walking Dead (she discusses on painful moment at length), and Jane the Virgin. She also openly admitted wanting to play Sherlock Holmes “so bad” in the Benedict Cumberbatch series, and her love of dance. So much more is covered and it all was saturated in her enthusiasm for a wide array of things. It is infectious.
In a year full of strong television performances, Chase Infiniti isn’t just keeping up, she’s standing out. With The Testaments, we’re only seeing the beginning of what this actress can do. Keep your eyes on her. Chase is everywhere for a reason… even TV Topics (about which she jokingly proclaimed, “I’ve made it. I have made it.”)
You can see all of Chase Infiniti’s extraordinary work in The Testaments, now streaming on Disney+/Hulu. And be sure to watch her on TV Topics. She was such a charming and fascinating guest; it was a lot of fun.
