Judd Apatow Adds Kumail Nanjiani and Other Comedians to ‘The Comeback King’ with Glen Powell

Judd Apatow is continuing to cast up his next filmmaking outing, The Comeback King. Glen Powell is set to star, while also co-writing with Apatow (Apatow is directing). Previously, it was reported that Powell would be joined by Cristin Milioti, Madelyn Cline, Stavros Halkias, and Li Jin Hao. Now, the list has been expanded to include a ton of comedians. More below.

According to Deadline, Kumail Nanjiani is joining the film, alongside other comics Leanne Morgan, Vanessa Bayer, Atsuko Okatsuka, Tig Notaro, Chris Fleming, Big Fella, and Mike Birbiglia. There’s still only a basic premise for the movie, which is a country music comedy, but expect that to change as things progress. For now, we know a bunch of the cast for The Comeback King, and that’s at least something.
