Here’s a collection of some very talented people getting together for a project. Pretty much anything featuring Colin Farrell, Ralph Fiennes (both of whom were a huge part of In Bruges, for example), and Wagner Moura would be worth paying attention to. Now add in a director like Fernando Meirelles at the helm, as well as some very baity material, and the makings of something special are here. Read on for more.
According to Variety, Farrell, Fiennes, and Moura are starring in the satirical comedy Art for Meirelles. The screenplay is being written by Christopher Hampton, based on the Tony-winning play from Yasmina Reza, and concerns three friends and the expensive plain white painting one owns that comes between them. Hampton actually originally adapted the play 30 years ago from French to English, so it’s a reunion of sorts for him and the material. Keep a close eye on this one, as it could turn out to be very fun.
