Sony Sets Brian Helgeland to Adapt Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Django/Zorro’ Comic

While we wait for the presumed final Quentin Tarantino film to be announced, other works of his continue to make moves within the industry. We have The Adventures of Cliff Booth coming later on this year from David Fincher and Netflix, for example. Now, we also have Django/Zorro, which Sony Pictures has set a writer for. More below.

According to Deadline, Sony has tapped Brian Helgeland to adapt the crossover comic that sprung from Tarantino’s mind. Django/Zorro was a seven issue series that Tarantino co-wrote, and was never likely to be a movie he actually made, but Sony sure wants to. With Helgeland working on a screenplay, this could potentially happen. Stay tuned to see what comes of this very unique idea as it moves forward.
