Charles Dance Joins ‘The Batman Part II’

Matt Reeves is soon to begin shooting The Batman Part II, which means some new casting news could be coming our way. To that end, a veteran actor is apparently being added to the roster of the sequel, which again stars Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne / Batman. The actor in question? None other than Charles Dance. More can be found on the casting below.

According to Deadline, as long as a deal closes, Dance is joining the sequel to The Batman. There’s no official word on who he’d be playing, but the belief is that he’d be portraying Charles Dent, the father of Harvey Dent, to be played by Sebastian Stan. Scarlett Johansson would be Dent’s wife, which gives us a little clarity of who is playing who. The Batman Part II is starting production in the spring for a release date of October 1, 2027. So, we’re still a year and a half away from seeing the movie, but things are getting into gear.
