Cannes Film Festival to Open With Pierre Salvadori’s ‘La Vénus électrique’

Earlier today, our own Joey Magidson previewed here what might be playing this year at the 79th Cannes Film Festival. Well, the full lineup for the festival, which runs from May 13th until the 26th, won’t be revealed until next week, but we now know the opening title, which is Pierre Salvadori’s La Vénus électrique. Read on for more on the movie.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, La Vénus électrique is a roaring twenties set romantic comedy. Pio Marmaï and Anaïs Demoustier co-star in Salvadori’s film. La Vénus électrique will premiere at Cannes on May 12th, kicking off the festival. More on Cannes soon.
