‘Scream 8’ Sets New Writers to Continue the Franchise

Ghostface just won’t die. Hot on the heels of Scream 7 being a financial success, if not critically on the same level it used to be, work has apparently begun on the next installment. In what seems to be at least somewhat of an admission that things need to change, a new writing team has been brought aboard to pen the screenplay. More below.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lilla Zuckerman and Nora Zuckerman have been hired to write the script. Better known in the industry as the Zuckerman sisters, they most recently served as show-runners for Poker Face. Will they be able to move the Scream franchise in a new direction that continues its viability? Time will tell, but Scream 8 does seem to be in our futures now, so plan accordingly.
