Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere is out today and completes a long road to getting a Bruce Springsteen biopic to the big screen. You can find out a bit about that journey in a conversation our own Joey Magidson had here with the film’s producers. Well, it seems like Springsteen himself has really enjoyed the experience, as he’s now open to more movies about him being made. A sequel to Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere? It’s actually possible. Find out more below.
According to Variety, at the AFI Fest opening night premiere for the movie, no less than writer/director Scott Cooper revealed that Springsteen is open to the idea. The fact that the two of them have discussed another film/a sequel doesn’t mean anything is on the table, but it does mean that it’s at least a possibility. If Cooper and Springsteen are on board, things could move quickly, especially if Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere does well at the box office and during the awards season. If so, Jeremy Allen White should get the guitar strapped on again, as there’s plenty more of the musician’s life story to depict.
