If it feels like years since we were supposed to have seen Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, you’re not wrong. The film was original scheduled to come out last March, in 2024. Now, it’s become a 2027 release, which puts the movie very much in the distance. Still, some moves are being made to bring it to us a little bit sooner.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the animated sequel is moving its release date up a week, now opening on June 18th, 2027. Not a big move, to be sure, but one that does signal that Sony is presumably pleased with what they’re seeing. It’s a little less than two years until we get Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, but at least it’s a week sooner now.
