Zach Cregger Confirms He’s Developing a ‘Weapons’ Prequel

Weapons has been a smash hit, and we’ve already reported here that a prequel is a high priority for Warner Bros. to get off the ground. Of course, a lot hinged on filmmaker Zach Cregger and what he wants to do next, given his hot status in the industry. Well, it sounds like he’s actually making moves towards a prequel, which will thrill WB.

According to Variety, Cregger is indeed developing a prequel about Amy Madigan‘s Aunt Gladys and has been talking to Warner Bros. about it. First of course is his Resident Evil film that he has coming out next year, but after that? It does seem like this movie could well be in the cards. More when we have it, but there seems to be more Weapons in our future.
