First Trailer for ‘Anemone’ Teases A Grand Return to Acting for Daniel Day-Lewis

The first trailer for Anemone has been released online. Written and directed by Ronan Day-Lewis, and co-written by Daniel Day-Lewis, the film will mark the actor’s return to acting for the first time since starring in Paul Thomas Anderson’s Phantom Thread in 2017.

Alongside Day-Lewis, Anemone will star Sean Bean and Samantha Morton. The movie will have a world premiere at the 2025 edition of the New York Film Festival, and will be released in select theatres on October 3, with an expansion planned for October 10.

Here is the plot synopsis:

“ANEMONE explores the complex and profound ties that exist between brothers, fathers, and sons.”
