Kevin Costner and Jake Gyllenhaal to Star in ‘Honeymoon with Harry’

For over twenty years, Hollywood has been trying to adapt the novel Honeymoon with Harry. It’s a ready made dramedy, one meant for a pair of movie stars to make a meal out of, with subsequent books presenting sequel possibilities. In fact, our own Joey Magidson began the occasional Make This Movie column here at Awards Radar by citing Honeymoon with Harry (read here). Well, it sounds like Amazon MGM may be making the film, with a new set of A-lists on board to star.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, it seems like Kevin Costner and Jake Gyllenhaal are the latest to try to get this project made. Glenn Ficarra and John Requa are signed up to direct the screenplay by Dan Fogelman, which has been hanging around Hollywood for years as the most recent draft. Will this group be able to get it across the finish line? Stay tuned.
