Michael Jackson Biopic Delayed Until Spring of 2026

Michael, the Michael Jackson biopic, has loomed as a question mark for much of this year. Presumed to be a late 2025 release, in time for awards contention, it has run into some issues, notably having to reshoot the entire third act. Well, it seems like that delay has caught up to the film, as it’s moving its release date into 2026. More below.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Michael is getting out of the 2025 season entirely, moving to April 24th. Jackson’s own nephew Jaafar Jackson stars as the musician, with Antoine Fuqua directing from a John Logan script. Adjust your calendars accordingly, as this one won’t be even a potential contender until next year.
