‘The Last of Us’ Creators Confirm that Third Season will Have Kaitlyn Dever’s Abby as the Lead

It was probably pretty obvious to anyone who watched the season finale of Season Two, but The Last of Us is making another perspective shift. While the first season was mostly centered on Pedro Pascal’s Joel, the second largely featured Bella Ramsey’s Ellie at the forefront. Now, Season Three will be changing focus again.

According to Variety, co-creator Neil Druckmann confirmed during a panel that Kaitlyn Dever’s Abby will be our protagonist during the third season. This follows what was done in The Last of Us: Part II video game, so it’s not exactly surprising. Still, we have confirmation, and with an actress as talented as Dever at the center of it all, Season Three will be a must watch.
