This morning brought our first good look at The Phoenician Scheme from Wes Anderson. The auteur’s latest movie is scheduled to be released in theaters on May 30th, so look for a debut at the Cannes Film Festival prior to that. Today, we have a trailer to share.
Anderson once again writes with Roman Coppola while directing. The synopsis is still simply just “the story of a family and a family business,” though the trailer does show a bit more. The cast, as per the press release, is as follows:
Benicio del Toro as Zsa-zsa Korda, one of the richest men in Europe; Mia Threapleton as Liesl, his daughter/a nun; Michael Cera as Bjorn, their tutor. With: Riz Ahmed, Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, Mathieu Amalric, Richard Ayoade, Jeffrey Wright, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Rupert Friend, Hope Davis.
