Awards Radar Community: How Much Crossover Between Oscar and SAG Are You Expecting?

The countdown to Oscar is on! Now that the Screen Actors Guild Awards are in the books, it’s just a few more days until we reach the Academy Awards. Wanting to move on from SAG but still utilize it, we have a combination job here to share with this week’s Awards Radar Community Question. When it comes to SAG and the Oscars this year, how much crossover are you expecting, winner-wise?

If you think SAG is going to accurately predict the Academy Award ceremony, let us know. If you’re on that train of thought, you’re predicting Conclave in Best Picture, Timothée Chalamet for A Complete Unknown in Best Actor, Demi Moore for The Substance in Best Actress, Kieran Culkin for A Real Pain in Best Supporting Actor, and Zoe Saldaña for Emilia Pérez in Best Supporting Actress. Does that look good to you? If so, elaborate on why that’s the route that you’re taking.

On the other hand, if you think, like in most years, there’s at least one SAG category that doesn’t translate to Oscar, clue us in to which one. Is it Picture with Anora winning instead of Conclave? What about Adrien Brody for The Brutalist beating Chalamet in Actor? Or, do you think Mikey Madison for Anora will overtake Moore in Actress? Those are the competitive races, so it’s likely one of those. If that’s the case, which one?

The floor is now yours. Are you expecting SAG and Oscar to fully overlap? Or, do you expect to see the Academy go their own way on Sunday evening during the Oscars? There’s no wrong answer here. You just have to simply chime in and participate. We’re waiting…

How much crossover between Oscar and SAG are you expecting to see on Sunday night? Let us know!
