Zach Cregger may have only helmed one feature, the wonderfully crazy Barbarian, but Hollywood is very eager to be in business with him. His follow up film, Weapons, ignited a bidding war, before New Line won out. Now, we know his next movie, as well as the circumstances surrounding how eager studios are to make it.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cregger is going to write and direct a Resident Evil reboot. A bidding war is again going on, with Warner Bros. and Netflix among the parties seeking to make the film. Cregger will unveil Weapons next year, so coming off of that epic horror title, plenty of folks will be pumped for this reboot. Stay tuned for more.
