WGA Nominations Announcement Moved to Next Week

It goes without saying that the wildfires in Los Angeles are a tragedy. The awards season is far less important, obviously, but all the same, it’s what we cover, so here we are. The latest domino to fall are the Writers Guild Awards, which actually were supposed to be announced tomorrow. That’s not happening, clearly, and the guild has picked a new date already, which you can see below.

According to Deadline, the WGA nominations will now be happening on Monday. That moves them out of this week entirely, though still to a point where Oscar voting is going on, given their move that came out just as this was being reported. So, mark your calendars accordingly.
