Critics Choice Awards Postponed Until January 26th Due to California Fires

The Critics Choice Awards were supposed to be handed out this Sunday. Voting for the awards was closing on Friday for members of the Critics Choice Association, including our own editor Joey Magidson. Obviously, the fires in Los Angeles right now have put all California events in jeopardy. Well, the decision makers at CCA have chosen to hold off on handing out prizes during this trying time.

According to a press release from the organization, CCA has opted to postpone the event. A new date for the show has been set for January 26th, at its same location in Santa Monica. Given the issues facing not just members but potentially attending talent, this seems like it’s all for the best. Stay tuned for the updated show later on this month and keep everyone affected by the fires in your thoughts.
