National Board of Review Gives Best Film to ‘Wicked’

Moments ago, the National Board of Review handed out their awards for 2024. Getting Best Film from NBR was Wicked, which also received Best Director for Jon M. Chu as well. Interestingly, winning the top prize from NBR is an excellent indicator of a Best Picture nomination at the Oscars, but almost never translates into a win. So, we’ll see what happens for Wicked at the Academy Awards. The full list from NBR is below.
