New Trailer for ‘Conclave’ Releases in Anticipation of Its New Release Date

The new trailer for Conclave has been released online. Directed by Edward Berger, with a screenplay written by Peter Straughan, the movie stars Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, John Lithgow, Lucian Msamati, Brían F. O’Byrne, Carlos Diehz, Merab Ninidze, Thomas Loibl, Sergio Castellitto and Isabella Rossellini.

Here is the plot synopsis:

“From director Edward Berger (All Quiet on the Western Front) CONCLAVE follows one of the world’s most secretive and ancient events – selecting the new Pope. Cardinal Lawrence (Ralph Fiennes) is tasked with running this covert process after the unexpected death of the beloved Pope. Once the Catholic Church’s most powerful leaders have gathered from around the world and are locked together in the Vatican halls, Lawrence uncovers a trail of deep secrets left in the dead Pope’s wake, secrets which could shake the foundations of the Church.”

The movie now has a brand-new release date after receiving rave reviews out of the festival circuit, and will instead bow out in cinemas on October 25 instead of November 8.
